What is the role of Coal in keeping Austin in the Black?

Coal has long been one of Austin’s lowest cost sources of electricity, but also its most polluting.  As the energy industry changes, costs associated with using coal are rising rapidly.

What should Austin do next?

Austin Energy makes a Final Recommendation with regard to Austin’s use of coal on August 14.  If you have an opinion to share with those who decide what Austin runs on, the time to do it is now.
